Kinect already has competition, Asus presents device of similar characteristics for PC

In several past articles we have written about the characteristics of the kinect, the benefits of the same, the why we think that it may be a step above the nintendo wii or playstation move and on the possibilities of use.

We also said that its use can be not only adapted to games or video games, but to a wide variety of human activities, from the fun to the high specialization as the surgery.

It seems that our way of thinking is also shared by technology and Asus companies presents a device similar to that of the Kinect and Microsoft but that it can be used not only for consoles but also for any PC or computernot only of the Asus brand.

Under the name of WAVI Xtion, Asus presents a capture device movement without any optional that a camera control and 2 devices that send the captured signal and connect between a PC or computer and a television.

Apparently Asus has seen many development opportunities for this technology and has decided to give an important step forward in its marketing and production led not only to the computers of the Asus brand but also to any other computer.

I personally think that it is a great step forward and that in the very near future we will see applications for the most different areas using such devices.

If you are a programmer would be good to averigues on such devices and their operation and programming by that if you trace to other programmers could create innovative applications that could allow you to earn big money.

Indeed the possibilities to innovate and apply creativity with this kind of devices and technologies are so broad that I could personally write many ideas yet to be a programmer, but we'll see how it develops this market and if we had or not reason in our predictions.
